Kristopher Bowers is a New York-based pianist and composer who has been touring and recording with jazz artist such as, Marcus Miller, Jose James, Terell Stafford, Vincent Herring, Louis Hayes, Casey Benjamin, Ben Williams, and Kenneth Whalum III. Kris won the 2011 Thelonious Monk international Jazz Piano Competition Award and was the first recipient of the Luther Henderson Scholarship at Julliard; where he completed his Masters degree in Jazz Performance with a focus on film composition in 2012. Kris has worked with other artists including: Murs, Q-Tip, Ludacris, Aretha Franklin, and Kanye West (he’s featured on the latest Kanye and Jay-Z grammy-award winning album, Watch the Throne). He’s also performed for notable individuals including Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, and President Barack Obama.
